报告摘要: The notion of flag curvature is a natural extension of sectional curvature. However, unlike sectional curvature in the Riemannian setting, flag curvature alone does not fully control the structure of a Finsler metric. Various non-Riemannian quantities also play essential roles. In this talk, I will discuss one of them—the so-called T-curvature—and its interaction with flag curvature.
报告人简介：沈忠民，美国Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis数学系教授，国际著名微分几何专家。1990年在State University of New York at Stony Brook获博士学位；1990-1991年在Mathematical Science Research Institute at Berkeley作博士后研究；2005-2007任美国自然科学基金委几何分析项目部主任；2009-2012年任Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis 数学系主任；中国科学技术大学数学科学学院客座教授，浙江大学光彪特聘教授。已在Invent. Math.，J. Differential Geom.，Math. Ann.，Adv. Math.，Amer. J. Math.，J. London Math. Soc.，Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.等国际著名期刊发表论文100多篇，出版学术专著7部。目前担任国际著名期刊SCIENCE CHINA MATHEMATICS及Differential Geometry and its Applications 编委。
